Abstrak

Tuberkulosis okular (ocular tuberculosis/OTB) adalah penyakit kronis yang disebabkan oleh infeksi M. tuberculosis pada mata dengan manifestasi yang beragam dan dapat menyebabkan kebutaan. Indonesia adalah negara nomor dua tertinggi di dunia dalam jumlah kasus tuberkulosis (TB) dan 11% di antaranya merupakan kasus TB ekstrapulmonar, termasuk OTB. Presentasi klinis tersering pada kasus OTB adalah uveitis posterior, namun dapat juga melibatkan semua jaringan pada mata. OTB memiliki prognosis yang baik bila penderita menjalani terapi antituberkulosis secara penuh, namun terdapat banyak tantangan dalam menegakkan diagnosis dan memulai terapi. Terdapat konsensus internasional terbaru dari kelompok kerja Collaborative Ocular Tuberculosis Study (COTS) yang dapat membantu klinisi dalam mengelola penyakit ini.
