Abstrak

Indonesia merupakan negara dengan berbagai macam tanaman tradisional yang berpotensi untuk dijadikan sebagai bahan pengobatan. Tanaman telang (Clitoria ternatea L.) merupakan salah satu tanaman yang mulai dikembangkan sebagai pengobatan. Bagian tanaman telang yang sering digunakan adalah daun dan bunga. Daun dan bunga telang mengandung senyawa yang memiliki aktivitas antioksidan, di antaranya fenolik, flavonoid, antosianin, dan tanin. Aktivitas antioksidan dapat diuji secara in vitro dengan beberapa metode seperti DPPH, ORAC, dan FRAP. Berdasarkan hasil tinjauan pustaka diketahui bahwa daun dan bunga telang memiliki aktivitas antioksidan dan tidak menunjukkan adanya potensi toksik sehingga relatif aman untuk digunakan.
